Materials Manager
The materials manager ensures the operations always have an adequate flow of materials. They are responsible for materials management which includes planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of materials to meet company needs on time and within budget.
The materials manager also oversees the purchasing and/or contracting for materials, supplies and equipment for the operation of the company in addition to all inventory items. The duties include storage and supervision of material department.
- Oversee coordination of inventory and purchasing
- Knowledge of distributed processes
- Monitoring inventory levels
- Pricing inventory negotiations
